ewe
Éwé, also spelt Eve or Efe, is a west African language spoken by over five million people mainly in southern Togo and south-eastern Ghana, east of the River Volta. It is written in Latin (Roman) letters. Part of the Scriptures were first published in Ewe in 1858, the New Testament was first published in 1877, and the complete Bible (Biblia) was published in 1913. Ewe speaking Christians are evangelical Protestant and Catholic. Bible work is done by the Bible Society of Ghana and the Bible Society of Togo. An interconfessional Bible was produced in 1991.
